Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 20, 2026

This policy explains what information Loadbare collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have kept it short and plain. The short version: we collect what we need to run the software for you, we do not sell your data, and the card numbers never touch our servers.

01 Who this covers

Loadbare is operated by Load Bare LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company (doing business as Loadbare), based in Plainsboro, New Jersey. This policy applies to the contractors and trade businesses who hold Loadbare accounts ("you"), and it explains how we treat the information you put into the service, including details about the homeowners and clients you quote and invoice.

02 What we collect

Account information

Your name, email address, and password (stored in a hashed, non-readable form). The trade you selected and the plan you chose.

Business information

Your business name and details, your logo, your quotes, estimates, invoices, job records, pricing, and any notes or photos you upload to build a quote.

Client contact info

The contact information you enter about the homeowners and clients you work for, such as their name, address, phone, and email, so you can quote and invoice them.

Technical & usage data

Basic information your browser sends (like IP address and device/browser type) and simple records of how the app is used, so we can keep it running, secure, and improving.

We collect this information when you sign up, when you use the app, and through standard server logs. We do not collect more than we need to provide and support the service.

03 Your clients' contact information

An important part of Loadbare is that you store the contact details of the homeowners and clients you quote and invoice. We treat that information as yours, entered on your behalf to do your work. We store and process it only to provide the service to you, for example, to put a client's address on an invoice or send them a quote you created.

Your responsibility: You should only enter client information that you have a legitimate reason to hold, and use it only in connection with the work that client hired you for. We do not market to, profile, or independently contact the homeowners whose details you enter.

04 How we use your information

We use the information above to:

We only send you marketing emails about Loadbare if it is reasonable to do so, and you can opt out at any time.

05 Card data & Stripe

The only payment Loadbare processes is your own monthly subscription fee, which is handled by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. When you enter a card to pay for your subscription, it goes directly to Stripe. Loadbare does not process, hold, route, or remit the payments your clients make to you, so we never receive or handle your clients' card or bank details. You collect those payments from your clients directly and simply mark invoices as paid in Loadbare for your own records.

Loadbare never stores card numbers. We do not see or hold full card numbers, security codes, or bank account details. Stripe processes your subscription payment under its own privacy and security standards. We receive back only limited, non-sensitive details, such as whether the payment succeeded, the last four digits, and the card brand, so we can show you the status of your subscription.

You can read how Stripe handles data in Stripe's privacy policy.

06 When we share data

We share data only in limited, sensible ways:

07 We do not sell your data

We do not sell your personal information, your business data, or the contact information of the clients you enter. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not rent your contact lists to anyone. Full stop.

08 How long we keep it

We keep your account and business data for as long as your account is active so the service works for you. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep certain records to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete your data sooner, see your rights below.

09 Security

We protect your data with reasonable technical and organizational measures: encryption in transit (HTTPS), passwords stored only in hashed form, restricted internal access, and reputable infrastructure providers. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take it seriously and work to keep your data safe. If a breach ever affects your data, we will notify you as required by law.

10 Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We extend the core of these rights to all of our users as a matter of practice. You can:

To exercise any of these, email hello@loadbare.com from your account email and we will help. We will not charge you or treat you differently for using your rights. If you are an EU/UK resident, you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

If a homeowner or client whose information was entered by a contractor contacts us about their data, we will refer the request to the contractor who controls that information, and help where we reasonably can.

11 Children

Loadbare is a business tool meant for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.

12 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Loadbare grows or as the law changes. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we will notify you by email. Your continued use of Loadbare after an update means you accept the revised policy.

13 Contact
