Refund & Cancellation

No contracts, no lock-in, no hoops. Loadbare is month-to-month, and you can cancel whenever you want. Here is exactly how cancellations and refunds work.
The short version
- Your plan is month-to-month. Cancel anytime.
- When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the month you already paid for.
- You will not be charged again after you cancel.
- Think we got a charge wrong? Email us, we will make it right.
01 Month-to-month, no contract
Every Loadbare plan, Starter ($19/mo), Pro ($49/mo), and Crew ($99/mo), is billed monthly with no contract and no minimum commitment. Your subscription renews automatically each month, and we charge the monthly fee in advance for the coming month, until you cancel.
02 How to cancel
You can cancel in either of these ways:
- Open your billing page inside the app and choose to cancel your subscription, or
- Email us at hello@loadbare.com from your account email and ask us to cancel, we will take care of it for you.
That is it. There is no phone call to sit through and no retention gauntlet.
03 What happens when you cancel
- You keep access until the end of your paid period. If you cancel mid-month, your account stays active through the end of the month you already paid for. We do not cut you off the moment you click cancel.
- No further charges. Your subscription will not renew, and you will not be billed again.
- Your data stays available until your paid period ends, so you have time to export your quotes, invoices, and records. After that, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. If you want a copy or want it deleted right away, just ask.
- Coming back is easy. If you change your mind later, you can resubscribe and pick up where you left off, as long as your data is still within our retention window.
04 Refunds
Because Loadbare is month-to-month and you can cancel anytime, we generally do not pro-rate or refund a partial month, you simply keep access through the period you paid for. That said, we are a small business that wants you to feel good about Loadbare, so:
Approved refunds are issued back to the original card through Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe handles the card details, Loadbare never stores your full card number, so refunds go to the same card you paid with, typically within a few business days depending on your bank.
05 Billing questions & disputes
If you spot a charge you do not recognize or have any billing question, please email us first at hello@loadbare.com before disputing it with your bank. Nine times out of ten we can clear it up faster and more easily than a chargeback, and we are happy to.
06 A note on payments you collect from clients
This policy covers your Loadbare subscription only, that is the one payment Loadbare processes (your monthly fee, charged through Stripe). It does not cover the payments you collect from your own homeowners and clients. Loadbare does not process, hold, or remit those payments, you collect them directly from your clients and just mark invoices as paid in the app for your records, so any refunds to your clients are arranged and handled entirely by you.
